Is Kansas City Ballet School only open
to serious, professionally inclined
students?
No, Kansas City Ballet School offers two different
tracks of study. One is for the preprofessional
dancer who intends for dance to be their career.
The other area of study
is for children or adults who understand the
value of ballet and dance training and
wish to receive the best teaching available
for vocational or recreational reasons.

When should my child begin dance training?
Generally, we accept children no younger than
five years old for ballet training. However, Kansas City Ballet School offers
Orff® classes in movement and music for
children ages three and four.

How much are tuition costs for the fall/winter
classes?
Tuition varies and depends upon how many classes
a student chooses to take. Arrangements may be made through the school
administrator to pay in installments.

Does tuition costs include dancewear and shoes?
No, however these items may be purchased at
a local retail store specializing in dance accessories. Contact the school administrator
for more information about supply requirements for classes you choose
to take.

How do I know at what level my child should
be enrolled?
Kansas City Ballet School reserves the right
to place students in the appropriate level and to revise the curriculum if necessary.

Do you award scholarships?
Yes. However, scholarship funds are very modest
and are highly competitive. The
scholarship program is reserved for pre-professional
students who intend to train for
a career in dance. Contact the school administrator

scholarship program.

What other styles of dance does Kansas City
Ballet School offer?
We currently offer classes in jazz, yoga,
tai chi, and men's technique, even though we are primarily a ballet school. Additional
classes will be added to our curricula in the future and new listings will be available
on our web site.

Do you offer adult classes in the evening?
Yes, we offer ballet, jazz, yoga and Pilates
throughout the year.
