Kansas City Ballet Celebrates the Next 50 Years of Dance at Annual Ballet Ball on February 28 at The InterContinental Hotel

KANSAS CITY, MO (February 5, 2009) – The Kansas City Ballet Guild will host the annual Ballet Ball to celebrate the future of dance on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the InterContinental Hotel on the Country Club Plaza.  Cocktails will begin at 7:00 p.m. and dinner will commence at 8:00 p.m. A Benefactor Rooftop Pre-party will begin at 6:30 p.m. for Grand Benefactor level ($5,000) or above. Lauren Muriel-Marion LaPointe is the Ballet Ball Chairman and Mr. A Joseph and Jeanne Brandmeyer are the Honorary Chairmen.

Proceeds from the Ballet Ball will provide ongoing support for the financial success of the Kansas City Ballet, the Kansas City Ballet School, and community education.

Tickets for the Ballet Ball start at $250 and Benefactor Levels ($1,000 and over) will be invited to a cocktail party on February 25, 2009 at the Mission Hills home of Julia Irene Kauffman. The Ball will feature the presentation of the Pirouette Award and special performances by the Kansas City Ballet School.
