Ballet in the Park has many exciting features for all to
enjoy.
- Kansas City Ballet dancers will give audiences
a glimpse into past and present repertory programs with
abbreviated versions of favorite ballets.
- Several booths will be open showcasing costumes and
props as well as providing opportunities to learn more about
volunteer groups that support Kansas City Ballet.
- Dancers
will be on hand after the performance to chat with the audience
and sign autographs on posters provided free of charge from
Kansas City Ballet.
- Families are encouraged to arrive
early and are welcome to bring a picnic and blanket for
the performances. (No cameras or camcorders please.)
- Each
performance is scheduled to last approximately one hour
and all are open to the public.
Rain Policy
If it is rainy or damp and the area or stage where the dancers are going to be is not in acceptable condition, the performance will be cancelled. The decision may be made in advance depending on the amount of rainfall, or at the park at approximately start time. All attempts will be made to notify sponsors, park officials, and the media if an advance cancellation is made.
